Gowning Sequence

1st stage of gowning is the intersuit
To achieve Class I (ISO 3) gowning standards, intersuits may need to be donned.
2nd stage of gowning are the shoe covers
Donning of shoe covers may be required prior to entering cleanroom transition areas.
3rd stage of gowning is the cap
Be sure to contain all hair.
4th stage of gowning is the hood
Ensure snug fit and proper face/neck seal.
5th stage of gowning is the face mask
Bend nosepiece for a snug facial fit.
6th stage of gowning is the coverall
Ensure sleeves and upper garment do not touch bench or floor. Tuck shoulder panels from hood inside coverall before zipping up.
7th stage of gowning are the boots
Pull boots over leg of coverall. Do not touch shoes with your hands.
8th stage of gowning are the safety glasses
Safety glasses are worn when eye protection or additional particulate control is desired.
9th stage of gowning are the gloves
Place hem of glove over cuff of sleeve.
